Renowned film actor Amin Khan, film actress Bidya Sinha Mim, Walton’s Senior Executive Director Muhammad Abdullah-Al-Mamun and other senior officials hand over cheques worth Tk 1 million to Walton fridge customers Mahmudul Hasan and Afroza Begum at separate events. after they became millionaires under Walton’s Digital Campaign Season-24
Two more customers became millionaires after they had purchased Walton refrigerators, the products of Bangladesh’s number one refrigerator brand. They were: businessman Mahmudul Hasan from Dakshinkhan in the capital Dhaka and housewife Afroza Begum from Sheikhpara village under Bagatipara upazila of Natore district. They received the rewards under the ongoing nationwide “Walton Digital Campaign Season-24.”
Earlier in the current season of the digital campaign, Suprakash Chakma from Bandarban, Kuddus Hawlader from Bagerhat and Tahmina Akter from Narsingdi also became millionaires after purchasing Walton refrigerators and air conditioners.
On Tuesday (May 19, 2026) last, renowned film actor Amin Khan, Walton Fridge Brand Ambassador and popular film actress Bidya Sinha Mim and Walton Hi-Tech’s Senior Executive Director Muhammad Abdullah-Al-Mamun officially handed over a cheque worth Tk 10 lakh to Mahmudul Hasan at a colorful program, organized by Goribe Newaz Walton Plaza in Uttara, Dhaka.
Earlier in a separate event, organized by Dayarampur Walton Plaza branch under Bagatipara upazila of Natore, a cheque worth Tk 10 lakh was handed over to customer Afroza Begum.
The events were also attended, among others, by Walton Plaza’s Managing Director Mohammad Rayhan, Walton Fridge Chief Business Officer Tahsinul Haque, Walton’s Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed and other senior officials.
Centering the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, Walton launched ‘Digital Campaign Season-24’ nationwide on April 8 this year with the millionaire offer. Under this season, customers’ details including name, mobile number and product’s bar code number are being digitally registered in Walton server after purchasing Walton fridge, air conditioner, washing machines or BLDC ceiling fan. Immediately after registration, customers receive confirmation messages on their mobile phones from Walton regarding rewards such as Tk 1 million cash, cash vouchers worth lakhs of taka, Argentina fan jerseys or other guaranteed gifts. The respective Walton Plaza or distributor showroom authorities are handing over the rewards to the customers.
As part of the ongoing campaign, Mahmudul Hasan purchased a 652-liter refrigerator from Goribe Newaz Walton Plaza in Uttara, Dhaka, while Afroza Begum purchased a 312-liter refrigerator from Dayarampur Walton Plaza branch in Natore. After completing the digital registration process, both customers received SMS notifications confirming that they had won Tk 1 million each.
Speaking at the cheque handover ceremony in Uttara, Walton Hi-Tech’s Senior Executive Director Abdullah-Al-Mamun said, “The trust and love of local customers towards domestic brands have helped Walton emerge not only as the country’s leading technology giant but also enabled Bangladesh to be recognized globally through exports Walton made products to more than 55 countries worldwide. This proves that Walton is not only doing business, but also playing a significant role in the socio-economic development of customers.”
Emotionally expressing her feelings at the Natore event, customer Afroza Begum said, “I never imagined in my dreams that I would receive Tk 1 million after purchasing a Walton refrigerator. This is the happiest moment of my life. Walton’s commitment to providing such huge benefits to ordinary customers like us has further increased my trust and love for the brand. I sincerely thank Walton authorities for fulfilling their promises to customers.”
