Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC signs separate agreements with three architectural and engineering consultancy firms to construct country’s largest iconic office tower at its corporate office premises in Dhaka
Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. has signed separate agreements with three leading architectural and engineering consultancy firms to construct the country’s largest iconic office tower at its corporate office premises in Dhaka.
The country’s leading electronics and technology brand signed the agreements with Vistaara Architects Private Limited, Abode of Consultant’s (Pvt.) Limited and BN Engineering. The firms will provide consultancy support in architectural design, structural planning, engineering solutions and other related services for the proposed office towers.
The signing ceremony was held at Walton Corporate Office on Sunday (May 3, 2026).
Walton Hi-Tech Chief Financial Officer and Additional Managing Director Md. Ziaul Alam, Abode of Consultant’s Chairman and Managing Director Professor Dr. M Shamim Z. Bosunia, Vistaara Architects Managing Director Mustapha Khalid Palash and BN Engineering Chief Executive Officer A.B.M Abdul Kabir signed the agreements on behalf of their respective organizations.
Among others present at the ceremony were Walton Hi-Tech Chairman S M Shamsul Alam, Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam, Directors S M Nurul Alam Rezvi and S M Rezaul Alam, along with senior officials from the consultancy firms.
Speaking on the occasion, S M Mahbubul Alam said a good office is not merely about an attractive building; rather, it is about creating an environment where people can work comfortably, express creativity and deliver their best performance.
“A modern office must be smart, sustainable and human-centric. Through this agreement, we are not only building offices; we are developing institutions that will represent the future of Bangladesh’s corporate and industrial capability,” he said.
He added that the planned office tower would reflect Walton’s long-term vision of innovation, technological advancement and global competitiveness.
“This is not only Walton’s dream; it is also part of our broader commitment to showcasing Bangladesh’s industrial strength, design capability and sustainable development mindset to the world,” Mahbubul Alam added.
Architect Mustapha Khalid Palash said, “Walton is our national pride. This initiative comes at a time when Walton is expanding its footprint in electronics, electrical appliances, ICT products and other high-tech industrial sectors both local and global stages.”
He added that the buildings would incorporate international-standard architecture, smart space planning, advanced engineering solutions, modern digital facilities, environment-friendly materials and energy-efficient systems.
According to company officials, the Walton Iconic Tower will be built on a 14.3-bigha plot with a total floor area of approximately 1.8 million square feet. In the first phase, a 13-storey state-of-the-art sustainable green office building with around 900,000 square feet of space will be constructed on 7 bigha of land. The building will also feature three basement levels.
