Lemon juice acts as a natural bleaching agent. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon on the affected area and sprinkle some salt on top. Leave it for 5 minutes and wash it off with water, the oiliness will disappear immediately.

Baking soda is a master at absorbing oil and removing odors. Mix baking soda with a little water to make a thick paste. Apply this paste on the stain of the sheet or pillow cover and leave it for half an hour.

When dry, brush with a brush and wash with plain water. Dishwashing liquid soap or dishwashing liquid is made to remove stubborn oil and grime. Rub a few drops of dish wash onto the stained area with your fingers.

Leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Vinegar's acidic content lightens oil stains without damaging fabric fibers. Mix one cup of white vinegar in a bucket of lukewarm water.

Now soak the stained sheet or pillow cover in that water for at least 1 hour and wash it with shampoo or detergent. If the stain is very fresh, sprinkle a generous amount of talcum powder or cornstarch on the stained area immediately. The powder will absorb the excess oil from the fabric.

After an hour, wash off the powder with an old toothbrush. White clay or writing chalk on a blackboard is also very effective at absorbing oil. Rub chalk or sprinkle chalk powder over the stain.

Wash off after 10-15 minutes. This home trick works very well for cotton sheets. Warm water is much more effective than cold water to remove oil stains.

After using any detergent (such as vinegar or dish wash), rinse the sheet in lukewarm water instead of plain water. It quickly loosens the oil particles accumulated in the clothes. Finally, after washing, dry the sheets and pillowcases indoors without drying them in the strong sun.

The UV rays of the sun help to completely remove the remaining light stains and the sticky smell of oil from the clothes.
