Lee Andrews, the newly released husband of British reality star Katie Price, is facing renewed legal scrutiny in Dubai just days after his release from detention.
The 43-year-old self-proclaimed businessman has been named as the lead defendant in a civil court case brought by claimant Alexander Keya, according to court documents.
An accounting expert has been instructed to conduct a final examination of the case, with the review ordered by the court on July 15, 2025.
A remote judicial hearing has been scheduled later this month to address the matter.
This development comes on the heels of Andrews' month-long detention at Al Awir Central Prison in Dubai on fraud-related allegations.
Andrews has claimed that his time in custody took a significant toll on his health, saying he lost approximately 20 pounds during his imprisonment.
He has also suggested a potential move to the United Kingdom with his wife, despite reportedly not yet having permission to leave the UAE.
The legal troubles continue to mount for Andrews, who married Price in January after meeting her online just weeks prior.
Price's Pet Loss
Meanwhile, Katie Price is dealing with another personal heartbreak following the death of one of her cats.
Andrews disclosed the loss in a recent Cameo video message requested by a fan, revealing that one of Price's eight Sphynx cats had passed away.
"She's got five Sphynxes actually. One has just passed away. Sorry, eight Sphynxes, five dogs," Andrews said in the recorded clip.
The businessman added, "Eight Sphynxes, now seven, one passed away."
Price had welcomed three hairless cats into her home in October 2024, despite calls from animal welfare organizations for her to be banned from owning pets.
Animal charities previously expressed concerns about Price's ability to properly care for animals following previous pet deaths.
The latest loss adds to a history of pet controversies surrounding the former glamour model.
Background and Ongoing Controversies
Andrews' legal troubles began last month when he was arrested in Dubai on fraud allegations.
Prior to his detention, he had been scheduled to travel to the UK for a joint television appearance with Price but failed to arrive.
Price launched an international appeal to locate him, initially expressing concern that he had been kidnapped.
She later confirmed he was being held at Al Awir Central Prison on reported fraud charges.
Throughout the ordeal, Price has faced scrutiny from friends and family over her whirlwind marriage.
The couple wed after knowing each other for only a short time, with reports suggesting they had met online weeks before tying the knot.
Critics have voiced concerns about Andrews' background and the rapid nature of their relationship.
Price has remained publicly supportive of her husband, though sources close to her have suggested she is reconsidering the marriage.
The couple's future remains uncertain as Andrews navigates ongoing legal proceedings in Dubai.
Price, who has three children from previous relationships, has faced questions about her decision-making in recent months.
The pet loss and Andrews' legal entanglements mark the latest chapter in what has been a turbulent period for the couple.
As the judicial hearing approaches, both Andrews and Price face an uncertain path ahead.
