Washington: US President Donald Trump may visit India early next year. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this on Saturday. Referring to the friendly relationship between PM Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, Marco Rubio said that India-US relations are 'fantastic'.

In an interview given to the news agency IANS in Washington DC, Marco Rubio said that before the visit of President Donald Trump in early 2027, he may come to India at the end of this year to review the preparations for this visit. "Oh yes, the president will go early next year. India is a very close partner and friend of America.

Prime Minister Modi and President Trump have a very close relationship, which I think is very important diplomatically," Rubio said. If Trump visits India next year, it will be his first visit to India after his second term as president. This June, Prime Minister Modi and US President Trump met during the G-7 Summit in Evian, France.

They also met separately. On the Modi-Trump relationship equation, the US Secretary of State said, "There is a great relationship between the President and the Prime Minister of India". At the same time, he also talked about bilateral trade agreements.

Rubio said, "I think it (trade agreement negotiations) is going great. The prime minister and the president had a very good meeting during the G-7. I hope the trade agreement will be finalized soon.

We are in the final stages. The negotiations are moving in a positive direction." Rubio also mentioned himself as a fan of Prime Minister Modi. Praising his leadership, he said, "Modi has made India a global power."
