Actress Ruby Rose is recovering from multiple fractured ribs following an accident at her home swimming pool. The 40-year-old Australian performer shared the news with followers on social media, confirming that she is currently undergoing treatment and using a breathing machine as part of her recovery.

Rose posted home surveillance footage on Threads and Instagram Stories showing the moment she slipped while walking along the edge of her pool. In the clip, she appears to lose her footing while holding a hose, slamming into the side of the pool and a nearby wall before falling backward into the water. She surfaced clutching her chest in visible pain.

The actress detailed her condition in a post, explaining that she broke the bottom two ribs on her right side. "RIP to my ribs, and to the rest of my summer," she wrote, adding that the injury required immediate hospitalization. According to reports, her recovery is projected to take several weeks, and she has been instructed to use a spirometer, a breathing device commonly prescribed for patients with broken ribs to prevent complications.

This incident has prompted Rose to reflect on a severe injury she sustained while filming "Batwoman" in 2019. During production, the actress suffered herniated discs and a broken neck following a stunt, which required emergency surgery. At the time, doctors warned that her spinal cord was in danger of being severed.

Rose revealed on social media that she returned to work on the superhero series just one day after that injury, a decision she now questions. "I couldn't feel my legs or hands, I was in a batsuit," she recalled, drawing a contrast between her past resilience and her current focus on healing.
