Peter Andre has addressed his decision not to participate in Katie Price's new documentary series, releasing a poignant statement that appears at the conclusion of the third episode. The singer, who was married to Price from 2005 until 2009, chose to remain absent from "Katie Price: Nothing To Hide" despite the series delving extensively into their high-profile relationship.

The couple, who met on "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" in 2004, became one of the most talked-about pairs of the early 2000s, starring in their own reality shows and building a media empire together. However, their marriage ended amid personal struggles and public scrutiny.

In the statement, Andre explained his absence was intentional: "I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess. Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future".

Children Open Up About Difficult Childhood

While Andre declined to participate, their children, Junior, 21, and Princess, 19, appear in the documentary and shared emotional reflections about their childhood during Price's public breakdown in the late 2010s. The siblings, who were just teenagers at the time, candidly discussed the impact of their mother's substance use and mental health struggles.

Junior recalled a painful memory of seeing his mother under the influence at 3:30 am, describing how "she was obviously on stuff" and that the experience "scared me because I've never seen my mum look like that". Princess shared that she would cling to a blanket sprayed with her mother's perfume as an "attachment to mum" and would "go home and just feel so lonely".

The documentary, produced by Louis Theroux's Mindhouse production company, features interviews with Price's other former partners and family members, offering what critics have described as a "sensitive and rigorous" account of her life in the public eye. Price herself has admitted she "never knew" the extent of her children's suffering during those difficult years.

The four-part series is available on Sky and streaming service NOW from July 8. Earlier this year, Andre and Price released a joint statement agreeing not to speak negatively about each other, emphasizing their commitment to "creating a calm and supportive environment for our children".
