Amanda Seyfried and her husband, actor Thomas Sadoski, have ended their marriage after nine years, confirming in a joint statement that they have been living apart for “a while,” a development that comes just weeks after Seyfried put her longtime Los Angeles home on the market for $3.2 million. “We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD,” the pair said in a statement provided to People.

Seyfried, 40, and Sadoski, 50, met in 2015 and made their relationship public the following year. In 2017, they quietly married in an intimate elopement. Sadoski previously described the ceremony as a private trip into the country with an officiant and no guests, saying the experience was “beautiful” and “everything that it should be.”

The couple share two children. Their daughter, Nina, was born shortly after they married, and their son, Thomas Jr., arrived in 2020.

The personal news arrives as Seyfried appears to be winding down her long-running ties to Southern California real estate. Her three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Los Angeles house—about 2,700 square feet—has served as her West Coast base for more than a decade. The 1916 home sits on a 9,104-square-foot lot and is listed with Justin Paul Huchel of Carolwood Estates.

Seyfried bought the property in 2011 for $1.85 million from actor Adam Brody, her co-star in “Jennifer’s Body,” purchasing it through a trust that has also been used in connection with her music releases, according to the report. The current listing describes the residence as a “private oasis” set behind mature hedges and a private gate, with outdoor features that include a swimming pool, spa and wraparound porch. Inside, the home includes multiple living and dining areas, a kitchen with blue cabinetry, a den, a light-filled sunroom, and a garage that has been converted into a gym. The listing also notes the home’s proximity to Runyon Canyon.

In recent years, Seyfried has increasingly emphasized her upstate New York life. She bought a farm property there in 2013 and has said she now lives primarily at the rural home with her family and rescue animals. In a March 2025 interview, she said the quieter setting helped her manage anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms, describing periods when her OCD made it difficult to function.

Seyfried has also spoken publicly about reshaping her real estate footprint. She sold a Manhattan condo in 2022 for $3.25 million after purchasing it for $1.9 million in 2010, and she still owns a separate New York City home—an Upper West Side apartment bought the same year she sold the condo.
