Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC's Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam receives 'SDG Brand Champion Awards-2025'. 

In a proud moment for Bangladesh, tech giant Walton has been honored with the prestigious ‘SDG Brand Champion Awards-2025’ in three key categories. The recognition highlights Walton’s commitment to sustainability, clean energy, and environmental protection.

The awards were presented at a grand ceremony at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka. Walton Hi-Tech’s Managing Director, S M Mahbubul Alam, received the accolades on behalf of the company.

Walton secured the ‘SDG Brand Champion’ title as the most sustainable electronics manufacturer and for its affordable clean energy initiatives. Additionally, it earned an honorable mention for climate and environmental efforts.

The awards celebrate Walton’s role in advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through eco-friendly manufacturing and renewable energy projects.

Expressing his delight, Walton’s MD S M Mahbubul Alam said, ‘We are honored to receive these awards. Walton remains committed to green manufacturing and sustainable innovation.’

He highlighted Walton’s initiatives, including solar power plants, waste recycling, and energy-efficient technologies, which align with global sustainability targets.

Walton’s efforts include a 1-megawatt floating solar plant, CFC-free refrigeration, and plastic recycling. These initiatives previously earned Walton the ‘Green Factory Award’ and the ‘National Environment Award-2018.’

The SDG Brand Champion Awards, organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum, recognize companies driving sustainable development in Bangladesh.
