Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo has announced the launch of her own music festival, a groundbreaking all-women event that will channel its proceeds toward charitable organizations supporting women and girls. The inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival is set to take place on August 29 at the Great Park in Irvine, California .

The "Vampire" singer shared the news with her followers on social media, expressing the deep personal significance of the project. "I've had a dream of doing this festival for years and I am so ecstatic it's finally coming true," Rodrigo wrote, describing the lineup as one composed of her "heroes and friends" .

Daisy Chain Fields will feature a powerhouse roster of talent. In addition to Rodrigo herself, the lineup includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, The Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and Not for Radio. Adding to the historic significance of the event, the festival will also welcome special guests Karen O, rock icon Stevie Nicks, and Sarah McLachlan, a pioneer in this space as the founder of the legendary all-women Lilith Fair .

A Festival Built on a Mission of Advocacy

True to its mission of driving tangible change, the festival will donate 100% of its net proceeds to a curated group of nonprofit organizations. Beneficiaries include Baby2Baby, the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, the Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the National Institute for Reproductive Health, the National Women's Law Center, and Planned Parenthood .

This initiative is the latest in Rodrigo's efforts to leverage her platform for advocacy. In 2024, she launched her Fund 4 Good to raise money for reproductive rights and domestic violence prevention. She previously announced that her Guts World Tour generated over $2 million in donations for various charities. Planned Parenthood recognized her activism in 2025 by presenting her with the Catalyst of Change award .

According to a mission statement released by Rodrigo, Daisy Chain Fields is founded on the belief that "joy, community, and creativity can inspire meaningful change." The event aims to "celebrate the voices, artistry, and contributions of women in music, fostering an inclusive environment in which all are welcome." Rodrigo has described the festival as a place where "inspiration and curiosity lead to knowledge, strength, and action" .

The festival takes inspiration from Lilith Fair, which was created by McLachlan in 1997 and revolutionized the music industry by proving the commercial viability of female-fronted festivals . Rodrigo has previously expressed her admiration for the event, appearing in a 2025 documentary about its legacy .

A Summer of Momentum for the Pop Star

The announcement comes just 10 days after the release of Rodrigo’s third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking her third consecutive album to top the charts . The festival will take place a month before she kicks off her scheduled "Unraveled Tour," promising a packed season for the 23-year-old artist .

Tickets for Daisy Chain Fields will go on presale starting June 24 at 10 a.m. PT. Fans can register for presale access through the festival's official website . Ticket tiers are expected to range from General Admission to VIP and Pit viewing options, with the event expected to draw fans from across the country . By bringing together top-tier talent, philanthropic initiatives, and a spirit of inclusivity, Daisy Chain Fields aims to foster a community that embodies hope and drives lasting change for women and girls.
