Yung Miami is once again publicly calling on Drake for a collaboration, this time for a remix of her rising hit single "Spend Dat." The former City Girls rapper made her plea during a red carpet interview at the 2026 BET Awards, directly addressing the Canadian superstar with a mix of humor and determination.
"You gotta stay tuned for that, but I really want Drake," she told Complex. "Champagne Papi. You know we gotta call Drake. Iceman. I want Iceman! Iceman, pick up the phone." The request comes as "Spend Dat" continues to climb the charts, currently sitting at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and securing a spot in the top 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart .
This marks the second time this month the Miami native has reached out to Drake for a feature. She previously revealed that she sent him a direct message requesting his appearance on her song "Take Me to Chanel," but the response fell short of her hopes. "He just liked the message," she recalled during an appearance on Cam Newton's Funky Friday podcast. "I'm like, come on now, don't do that, Drake. Don't do that now. Because when you called me, I was there" .
Despite the digital dismissal, Yung Miami expressed understanding for Drake's silence, noting that he was navigating the height of his public feud with Kendrick Lamar in 2024 at the time of her outreach. She emphasized she does not hold any resentment and continues to hold the artist in high regard .
The pair share a significant history, most notably on Drake's 2018 chart-topping hit "In My Feelings," where Yung Miami and her City Girls counterpart JT provided uncredited vocals and appeared in the iconic music video. Miami has previously described that collaboration as the "breakthrough" moment for the City Girls, marking a pivotal turning point in their careers .
With Drake's recent return to the musical forefront following his public and legal battles, Yung Miami is hopeful the timing is now right for a reunion. As "Spend Dat" gains momentum, the potential addition of Drake could solidify the track as a defining hit of the summer .
