Katie Price is revisiting one of the most talked-about celebrity feuds of the early 2000s, pointing the finger at Victoria Beckham for the breakdown of her relationship with singer Dane Bowers. In her new Sky documentary series, the former glamour model opens up about how she felt sidelined when Bowers collaborated with the Spice Girl.
Price, 48, and Bowers were in a two-year relationship when he teamed up with Victoria Beckham on the 2000 dance track "Out of Your Mind" by True Steppers. According to Price, this professional partnership triggered a dramatic shift in her romance. She claims she went from being a constant presence by his side to being barred from his promotional activities .
A Relationship Derailed by Pop Stardom
In the documentary, Price describes how she was initially allowed to accompany Bowers on work trips, a privilege that was revoked during his promotional duties with Beckham. "I was always allowed to go with him, but on this trip, I wasn't allowed," she recalled, explaining her confusion at the sudden exclusion . She attributed her distress to the influence and status of her rival.
"The relationship sort of changed, as if he had something better and I was a nothing because it's now Victoria, and Victoria and Victoria," Price states in the series, titled Katie Price: Nothing to Hide . The star described being in tears, wondering why the man she knew had seemingly changed overnight.
The Ultimatum Over a Calendar
The tension spilled beyond jealousy over fame into professional disagreements. Bowers had reportedly asked Price to cover up more in her glamour shoots, unhappy with her topless work. However, when the offer to produce her own calendar came through, Price decided she could not turn it down .
"I want to be sexy in it, and you can't do a calendar and not be sexy in it," she explained in the documentary . This decision led to a firm ultimatum from Bowers, who told her that if she went ahead with the shoot, their relationship was over. Bowers confirms in the Sky series that he ended the relationship when the photos were released .
The documentary, produced by Louis Theroux’s Mindhouse production company, is set to air on July 8 . The four-part series promises an uncensored look at Price's rise to fame, her alter-ego Jordan, and her high-profile relationships, reigniting a rivalry that has simmered for more than two decades .
