In a remarkable milestone for Bangladesh’s tech industry, global electronics giant Walton has made its mark in Singapore. The company’s smart inverter air-cooled chiller ACs are now being used at two of Singapore’s most prestigious hospitals — Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.
Industry insiders say this achievement is not just a win for Walton but also a proud moment for Bangladesh. It highlights the nation’s growing strength in producing high-tech, energy-efficient products that meet global standards.
According to sources, Flair M&E Private Ltd, a leading name in Singapore’s air-conditioning sector and Walton’s local partner, has already installed Walton’s smart inverter chillers for process cooling at Singapore General Hospital. The company is also in the process of installing Walton chillers at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Md. Tanvir Rahman, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Walton AC, said that it’s a huge honor for a Bangladeshi brand to be trusted by such world-renowned institutions. “It’s a matter of pride for both Walton and Bangladesh. Once, we used to import raw materials for ACs from Singapore — now our products are being used in their top hospitals,” he added.
Flair M&E is also deploying Walton’s Chiller and VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air conditioners across various other infrastructures in Singapore, showcasing the company’s expanding international footprint.
Walton holds a special place in Bangladesh’s industrial history — it is the country’s first and only manufacturer of VRF air conditioners. The company inaugurated Bangladesh’s first VRF AC manufacturing plant in 2020, making the nation the ninth country in the world to achieve this capability.
Currently, Walton is investing heavily in research and innovation, focusing on smart, eco-friendly technologies. Their upcoming products integrate AI, IoT, and energy-efficient features aimed at both residential and commercial users.
Walton’s VRF systems boast advanced features such as a Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger (BPHE) for superior cooling, refrigerant PCB cooling technology to prevent motherboard overheating, and the ability to support complex, large-scale projects with a 130% capacity ratio and up to 100-meter length. Other features include auto-dust removal and load sharing technology.
The Walton chillers are equally impressive — equipped with inverter compressors, smart control systems (PLC and touchscreen), low-noise operation, and automatic protection mechanisms. All Walton products comply with international and local standards including ISO 14001, RoHS, ISO 45001, CE, and BSTI certifications. Every unit undergoes rigorous testing at the NUSDAT-UTS lab, ensuring top-tier quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Walton’s vision is clear — to make Bangladesh a global hub for high-tech, environment-friendly electronics manufacturing. The brand is already exporting to over 50 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, and aims to expand its reach to 100 countries soon.
Through its exports of VRF, chiller, and commercial AC systems, Walton continues to play a vital role in earning valuable foreign currency for Bangladesh — and now, with its products cooling Singapore’s top hospitals, the brand’s global reputation has reached a whole new level.
