Kolkata: The news was heard for several days. This time it was confirmed. Rishabh Pant left Lucknow Super Giants.
He was bought by Lucknow Brigade for 27 crore rupees. However, he left the team within two years due to continuous poor performance and bad results of the team. He returned to his 'home' in Delhi (Delhi Capitals).
In 2025, Rishabh Pant came to the Lucknow team for a record 27 crore rupees. But since then only failure. He scored only 269 runs in 14 matches in 2025.
Which included a century (118 runs vs RCB). He scored 312 runs in 14 matches this year. After two failures of the party, he left the leadership a few days ago.
That's when the speculation started. Talks started about which team he will return to. Amidst this speculation, the IPL authorities said that Pant is returning to Delhi Capitals as per the new trade deal of IPL.
But he will not get another 27 crore salary. He will lose about 12 crore rupees. You will get 15 crore rupees.
Pant played in Delhi from 2016-2024. If you look at it from that side, Rishabh is a kind of 'Ghar Wapsi'. Again Kuldeep Yadav is a part of the Lucknow team from Delhi.
Sanjeev Goenka's team took him for 13.5 crore rupees. Kuldeep got 10 wickets in 11 matches in this IPL. On the one hand, it is heard that Yuvraj Singh may take charge of batting coach Hisane Delhi.
Saurabh Gangopadhyay can also come to the team again. Rishabh has been left out of the national team due to his off form. Delhi's captain this season too is Akshar Patel.
But will Delhi play in the playoffs this year? Will Rishabh Panth get back to form? The answer to the question will be available during the IPL season itself.
