Alannah Keyser, the 21-year-old Casa Amor bombshell, has spoken out after being removed from the Peacock reality series due to a resurfaced video and social media controversy. The contestant confirmed her departure during the June 25 episode just days after her debut on the show.
Keyser addressed the controversy in a TikTok video posted on Saturday, June 27, expressing remorse for a six-year-old clip that showed her singing along to a Roddy Ricch song containing a racial slur. "I'm sorry to whoever has seen that video and has been offended by it. That was never my intention," she explained in the now-viral clip. "The video is from six years ago and that word is just not in my vocabulary anymore."
In addition to addressing the video, Keyser disputed screenshots circulating online that she claims are fabricated. "What has been shared does not reflect the truth, and it's never been in my character to discriminate against anybody's skin color," she stated firmly. The former contestant emphasized that she does not "support racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have," while admitting that the public backlash has been a difficult learning experience.
The USC film school student entered the villa on June 21 as one of six new singles during the popular Casa Amor twist, quickly forming a connection with contestant Zach Georgiou. However, hours after her arrival, the 2019 video of Keyser singing along to Roddy Ricch's "The Box" began circulating on social media .
Peacock confirmed that the resurfaced video and online posts only became public after Keyser had entered the villa, meaning they were not available during the show's standard pre-filming vetting process . Sources indicate that producers attempted to minimize her screen time in pre-taped episodes following the controversy before ultimately confirming her departure mid-episode .
The show's narrator, Iain Stirling, briefly acknowledged her exit with a simple announcement: "Alannah has left Casa Amor."
Keyser's removal marks the second such incident this season, following the departure of Vasana Montgomery, who was dismissed before the June 2 premiere after similar resurfaced videos emerged . Montgomery had also issued a public apology, stating she was "embarrassed and disappointed" by her past actions.
The situation continues a troubling pattern for the reality franchise, which has seen multiple contestants removed in recent seasons due to past social media activity involving racial slurs. In Season 7, both Yulissa Escobar and Cierra Ortega were removed from the show under similar circumstances .
