The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh. The accident took place near Hetampur railway station in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district on Sunday. It is learned that 19665 Khajuraho-Udaipur Intercity Express stopped near Hetampur railway station at around 4.15 pm.

There was a fire in the train, many people jumped from the train to the side track. Just then, an express train was coming on the side track. Many passengers died by being crushed under that train.

An investigation has already been started by the railway authorities. Rescue work is also going on. According to initial information, the emergency chain was pulled from the general compartment of the Khajuraho-Udaipur Intercity Express.

As the train stopped before the station, rumors spread that the train was on fire. As soon as this news was heard, some passengers got off the train. At that time Ferozepur-Seoni Patalkot Express was coming up line.

The PR department of North-Central Railway said that four passengers were killed in the train collision. Railway authorities, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Garment Railway Police (GRP) and local administration came on receiving the news of the accident. The rescue operation was started.

The injured are being rescued and taken to the hospital. Incidentally, earlier a similar accident had happened in Maharashtra too.
